Back-End Developer - Python (Nigeria)

We’re looking for an experienced back-end developer with experience working with advanced AI platforms designed to automate frontline sales and support roles, allowing companies to streamline operations and focus human talent on high-value tasks. Our AI agents interact directly with customers, answer questions, resolve issues, and escalate only when necessary—ensuring rapid, accurate, and consistent support 24/7.

Core Task:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable /efficient backend systems using Python
• Create API integrations for platforms like Salesforce, Zendesk, HubSpot, Slack etc
• Secure data pipelines that allow Artemis AI to retrieve and update client info in real time
• Configurable workflows that match each client’s unique sales and support processes.
• Collaborate with front-end devs to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Manage and optimize database performance, ensuring data integrity and security
• Develop solutions for improving the overall system architecture to support the legacy site
• Implement best practices for backend performance, including caching & load balancing
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure seamless functionality and uptime
• Work with serverless tech (Docker) to deploy and maintain applications
• Assist with backend integrations for third-party services and payment gateways

Must-Have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer, with a strong focus on Python
• Experience designing and developing various API calls for multiple clients
• Hands on experience with serverless container tech like Docker (or similar tools)
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git or similar tool)
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work EST

Nice to Have:

• Experience building tech for AI / bot related companies
• Experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript
