About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeping Associate to support our finance team with accurate financial reporting and account management. In this role, you will be responsible for bookkeeping, account reconciliation, vendor management, and payroll support to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Core Tasks
- Assist with monthly and quarterly bookkeeping and reporting
- Create and provide custom/ad-hoc reporting, including budget-to-actual reports
- Manage outreach to suppliers/vendors to facilitate on-time payment
- Properly book and manage expenses and income for accurate reporting
- Reconcile accounts, including bank and credit card statements, to ensure accuracy
- Assist in preparing financial statements and maintaining general ledger accounts
- Track and resolve discrepancies in accounts receivable / payable
- Support payroll processing and related compliance documentation
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist with other projects as needed
Must Haves
- 3+ years experience in an AR/AP or junior accounting role
- 2+ years experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proficient knowledge of accounting / accounting reporting principles
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate skills in Excel / Google Sheets
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional home office or shared work setting
- Ability to work EST
Nice-to-Haves
- CPA or similar international certification
- Experience in a client-facing role to support external relationships
